For loan officers thinking about a move

You know how to do loans. I'll help you with everything else.

Moving to the broker channel, or to a new platform, comes with a learning curve. My job is to shorten it. Come see NEXA for yourself, and I'll be on the call with you.

Where are you coming from?

I'm at a bank or retail lender

You're not wondering whether you can originate. You're wondering what happens when you leave the setup you're used to. Who processes my files? How do I price a loan? Who do I call when a deal gets strange? You won't figure it out alone. That part is my job.

I'm already in the broker channel

You understand wholesale, so I'll skip Mortgage Broker 101. Switching platforms is a hassle, and there needs to be a real reason to move. Let me show you what's different here.

I'm new to the business

Nobody should get a license and be expected to know how to build a mortgage business the next morning. There's a training path for you, with no upfront cost.

More places to look before you have to tell a borrower no.

At a single lender you sell what that company offers. Here you work across many wholesale lenders and match the loan to the one that fits.

NEXA loan officers get a lender directory built for exactly that. Filter by loan type, state, credit score, and loan to value, and see which lenders fit and what each one specializes in.

Here's the part I hadn't seen in 20 years in this business. When a lender's account executive is online, you can join them on Zoom right then, share your screen, and work the scenario together in real time. No voicemail. No waiting on an email.

Dozens of coaches. No charge to call.

NEXA has dozens of scenario coaches. They're experienced loan officers, there's a coach room open on Zoom during work hours, and there is no charge to talk to them. Call once a week or ten times a day.

When I started at NEXA I was calling coaches two to four times a day. These days it's closer to once a week, and it's still one of the most valuable things I have. My last call was to ask which lenders are best for fix and flip loans. I had a real answer in minutes.

Want more than advice? You can bring a coach onto a file with you and close it together while you learn. I did that on my first loan here. Ask me how it works.

You choose your processor.

At a bank, you're assigned a processor, and if it isn't a fit, too bad. Here you pick. There's a directory of processors with ratings from other loan officers and a flag showing who has capacity right now. Or bring in someone you already trust.

Live help, every weekday.

NEXA runs live support rooms on Zoom for loan questions, payroll, marketing, compliance, and licensing, plus weekly classes. You open the room and talk to a person.

New to mortgage? There's a path for you too.

NEXA University pairs you with an experienced coach on your first loans. There is no upfront cost. You pay for the program out of commission on loans you close. I'll walk you through the current details, and I'll join the weekly NEXA University call with you.

The service you give your clients is the service you should get.

Plenty of people can get you signed up. What matters is what happens after.

  • I walk you through onboarding, start to finish. You won't be handed a login and wished good luck.
  • Weekly meetings while you're new. Bring your files and your questions.
  • Help placing your first loans. Which lender fits which scenario, and why.
  • Plain advice on tools and training. Which pricing engine I'd use, and which classes are worth your time first.

Why I do this. I've been in this business more than 20 years, and I still love helping customers. But I've always wanted to build a team, and mentoring the people who come after me is the part that makes me feel good. The path to growing a business in lending isn't always clear. I'd like you to learn from what I've learned, and I want to see you succeed.

And yes, I benefit when you do. I earn a portion on the production of loan officers I bring in, and the same would be true for you if you ever build a team of your own. So helping you succeed isn't charity. It's how this is supposed to work.

Chart of NEXA loan officers growing from 4 in October 2017 to 4,044 in September 2026, while U.S. licensed loan officers fell 18 percent from 2022 to late 2024Map showing NEXA licensed in 48 states plus Washington DC, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Not yet licensed in Massachusetts and New York.

Some people want to close loans and go home. Nothing wrong with that.

Others want to build a team. If that's where you're headed, that's a conversation worth having directly.

Own a shop? NEXA has a path built for shops, not only individual loan officers. The real questions are about your team, your brand, and your book. I'd rather have that conversation with you than have you guess from a web page.

Don't take a website's word for it. Come listen, and don't come alone.

NEXA holds a Why NEXA call twice a week: Mondays at 5pm and Thursdays at 11am, Arizona time. Leadership walks through the company and the platform, and you can ask questions.

Tell me which call works for you. I'll join it with you. Afterward we'll go through your questions together, including compensation, with the current plan in front of us.

No decision needed on the call.

FAQ

Is this only for Louisiana loan officers?

No. I'm based in Louisiana, and everyone is based somewhere. You can join from wherever you're licensed. I'll confirm your state before you decide.

Who would I actually work for?

NEXA Lending. BorrowLouisiana.com is my site, powered by NEXA Lending. You'd be a NEXA loan officer, W-2 or 1099, and I'd be the person who brought you in and helps you get going.

How does compensation work?

I'll show you the current plan and we'll run your real numbers next to it. Bring what you make now and what it costs you to make it.

Do I have to recruit?

No one has to recruit to originate here. Some compensation options are connected to team building, and I'll show you exactly which ones.

Will I have to generate my own business?

Yes. This is built for loan officers who bring in their own business.

What happens to my pipeline?

Don't wing this. We'll talk through timing, licensing, and your current employer's policies before you move anything.

See NEXA for yourself. I'll be on the call with you.

Tell me a little about where you are. I'll reach out personally within one business day, however you prefer.

Got it.
